MARIA ISABEL SALAZAR DE LINCE
COLOMBIAN PAINTER OF LIGHT
Maria Isabel Salazar de Lince lives and works in Bogota (Colombia). She is a painter and psychologist, well known for the conduction of TV programs between 1971 and 1983: El ABC de la mujer – Sección de psicología, El Enemigo oculto, Amigos. She was the founder of the project Prometeo, center for the rehabilitation from addictions like drug and alchoolism and a pioneer of the Art Therapy in Colombia. She has devoted much of her life to painting, creating a personal language based on her observation and feeling of the natural events. “She places in gravitation the skies and the seas, as if they were revelations of hidden worlds that come out to the light. The world created by the artist, the propositional idea of art, is a rising vision. Maria Isabel determines a refined scheme of encounters between the visual and the conceptual, with the sensuality that arises from her own technique, precise, original.”
