JEWISH FLORENCE, Illustrated itinerary (English Edition)
Florence is the city of the Lily and of the David, the young future king of Israel, immortalised in marble by Michelangelo. A copy in bronze of the statue of David towers over the centre of Piazzale Michelangelo, from where he dominates the city. Let us begin our visit to Jewish Florence from this place, from which can be admired the vast panorama of the city with the high towers of Palazzo Vecchio and the Bargello, the bell towers and the many domes, including that of the Duomo, the work of the great architect Filippo Brunelleschi, and that, green-coloured, of the Synagogue, which was built at the end of the 19th century.
