From the discovery of an American plane that crashed during the last conflict in a Tuscan lake,  the faithful reconstruction of the events of that crew who was helped by the local population. A wall of water rises up as the big plane sinks. The turret protruding underneath the belly of the four-engine aircraft shears off cleanly... The lake surface closes above the B-17 as if nothing has happened and, all around, a strange calm immediately replaces the last lament of the flying fortress.
